How it started
Our school in Czechia has an FPV drone club. The kids learn on a simulator before they fly a real quad, and we wanted one you could open in a browser and fly within seconds, without installing anything.
So we wrote one that runs in a browser. It had to start in seconds and feel like a real drone. The first version had one drone and one park. Then came the forest, the abandoned mill at Malczyce, a race against your own ghost, analog video breakup, the whole real world, and Prague with its landmarks.
What we care about
- Feel first. Low input latency and believable physics matter more than graphics.
- Nothing in the way. One click and you are flying: no install, no account needed.
- Free to fly. The part that makes it a good sim stays free.
Name
Ledroon. Le drone, with two o’s. Nobody else was using it.
